Malaysia Energy Index Update

On May 6, 2020, Bursa Malaysia's Energy Index gained 21.44 points or 2.92% to 756.52 in early trade today, outpacing other sectoral indices on the local bourse  as crude oil extended its price rally for a fourth day.

As at press time, international benchmark Brent crude was trading 0.23% higher at US$31.19 (RM134.19) per barrel, while American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was at US$25.56 a barrel, down marginally 0.09%.
