Spanjaard (MPG) Multi-Purpose Grease is a bentonite grease prepared by a gelling process, no soaps being included. The features obtained are: great stability at high temperatures, resistance to water and acids, and infusibility. It will not soften under heavy working conditions up to its working temperature limit. Protects against wear, oxidation, corrosion and ensures longer life. Minimises fretting corrosion. Prolongs periods between maintenance and routine greasing. MPG 1646 is a tackier version of MPG.

The non-melt properties of Spanjaard MPG, together with its Molybdenum Disulphide content, make it particularly suitable for use where high temperature and/or heavy load conditions exist. All medium and large size plain bearings, large diameter ball and roller bearings, running at low r.p.m. For mechanical equipment, particularly when exposed to severe weather conditions or subjected to extreme loads i.e. cranes - conveyor systems - ore crushers - rolling mills - mechanical stokers - printing presses - drilling rigs and ancillary equipment - exposed drives and locomotives - dock equipment - cargo and warping winches - lifeboat davits - hatch covers - ships stabilizers. Springs - shackle bolts - kingpins - torsion bar bushings - water pumps - brake linings on all types of transport and mobile equipment.

Compatibility
Spanjaard MPG is incompatible with most other grease thickener systems. This is true for all Bentone, non-soap thickened greases which are prepared by a gelling process.
The gelling process stability can be affected by the anti-rust and extreme pressure additives of other greases that are still in the bearing. It is therefore very important that any old greases are removed in order to ensure the stability of Spanjaard MPG.
